Watch as leading b-boys and b-girls from around the country defy the laws of gravity and compete for cash prizes, while legendary DJ’s spin the hottest tracks. The competition was judged by Box Won (KRS/Illadelphlave, Philadelphia), Ghost (Lionz of Zion, Virginia), and Kid Clyde (Dynamic Rockers, New York City). The event also featured DJ Ruggz (Breaks Kru, New York City) as soundmaster and Nemesis (Breaks Kru, New York City) and Trus Real (Lionz of Zion, Maryland) as MC. Fine Lines Paint Jam As a celebration of graffiti and fine arts, Words Beats & Life invited 30 D.C.-based artists to create live works of art at the Kennedy Center, complete with music from DJ Vico Vibez. This year’s Fine Lines Paint Jam drew inspiration from the classic Hip Hop film Wild Style. B-boy/b-girl culture and more was also explored with the panel discussion “Foundation: B-boys and B-girls in Hip Hop Culture” featuring Jorge “POPMASTER FABEL” Pabon, Honey Rockwell, B-boy Orko, and Joseph Schloss.
